We Need You!

ROC*KON is a fan run convention, a breed which is becoming rare as commercial conventions continue to grow and proliferate. Conventions like Roc*Kon needs your help to survive. Here are some ideas:

1. PREREGISTER: The easiest way to help Roc*Kon is to simply preregister for the convention and attend! You and all of the other Sci-Fi and Fantasy fans are the reason Roc*Kon and other fan run conventions are held each year. Your attendance helps us to continue having a convention each year and provides assistance to our charity of choice.
2. JOIN THE CONCOM: ConCom members and staff pay dues and do the legwork to make sure the convention happens each year.
3. DISTRIBUTE FLYERS: Distribute Roc*Kon flyers to your local bookstores, hobbyshops, libraries, etc. We do flyer exchanges with other conventions, so let us know if you're interested. Also, if there is a business you would like to see carry our flyer tell them, or let us know and we will contact them for you.
4. YOUR SUGGESTIONS COUNT: Panel ideas, guests, and events are very important to a convention. Sending us your suggestions helps identify areas of interest. If you have been to Roc*Kon and saw something you thought could be improved upon we want to hear from you! If you can help us track down a problem with the convention, and suggest ways to correct it, you will have done your part to make our convention that much better next year.
5. LINK TO US: You can add a link to www.rockon.org from your homepage. If you are with another convention and have a standard size banner (please see above) we would be happy to advertise your convention on our website or create a standard size banner for your convention. If you are an individual Sci-Fi fan, your link to our site is greatly appreciated.
6. WORD OF MOUTH: Believe it or not, this is still one of the best ways to spread the word. Let everyone you know about our convention. Go ahead, spread the word!

ROC*KON flyers are distributed to local hobby shops, bookstores, libraries, and other fine establishments. If you would like to receive a supply of flyers for display at your business please contact us. You will also be added to the list below, so everyone will know how to contact you.
